| AUSTRALIA STAR is an educational consulting company which focuses on providing a service directly to schools in Shanghai. We design the curriculum, we provide the teachers and we closely manage the program. We have our own textbooks, which closely follow the curriculum followed by all Shanghai schools. However, our curriculum closely follows the requirements needed to pass the "London Test of English for Children". This test is now recognized by all English and Australian educational institutions. The aim of the test is primarily to test a learner's ability to use the language communicatively rather than to only test their knowledge of the language system. At all levels of the written test, learners are tested in their Listening, Reading and Writing skills. There is also a speaking test, conducted by a trained examiner. Scheduled exam sessions are held in June and December. |
