Focus: parts of plants – leaves, flowers. cm;
Activity: kids must teach the other kids about the plants – This is a carnation. It has got a long stem. Its flowers are red; read the story p12

Focus: spelling; greetings – welcome, thank you for coming.
Activity: spelling test; correct yesterday’s homework; role play activity p14
Homework: listen to the tape U6

Focus: vocabulary
Activity: new spelling words – breakfast, lunch, dinner, my, his, her, having, doing; explain the meanings;
Game – teach morning, afternoon, and evening. Kids must do appropriate action for each one – morning (getting out of bed), afternoon (eating, working etc), evening (going to bed)
Homework – read story p15,16

Activity: play hangman/other spelling games; practice telling the time

Focus: reading and writing
Activity: students write the new vocab from last week in their NEW BOOKS!!! – old, new, empty, full, right, wrong, early, late; read the story page 9, students read the parts of Jenny, Lily and Miss Xu
Homework: exercise p10, copy spelling words
Tuesday -
Textbook reference: Integrated English pages 9/10
Focus: Daily timetable – What are you doing on Monday?
Activity: read the story again once; revise telling the time; game – students are “having lunch at 12:45” or “playing with Jim at 4.15” – are they early or late?
Thursday
Textbook reference: Integrated English page 10
Focus: sentence pattern – The playground is empty; The glass is full; My watch is right; The clock is wrong.
Activity: spelling test + sentence writing/copying. Students must copy the sentences and fill in the blanks:
The book is new. The watch is old. The playground is empty. etc…
